Clever Transport Solutions

Ryders have been involved in the recovery business since the sixties, with

20 years of experience in the supply of beavertail car transporters.

Popular mass production cars continue to gain weight and VOSA have

become more and more focused on ensuring vehicles do not use the roads

whilst exceeding their permitted weights.

Ryders realised the issue of adequate legal payload for the 3500kgs vehicle

transporter was only going to become more acute with time.

To combat this problem Ryders commissioned a leading engineer in

lightweight structures to produce a new ground-up design.

This radical solution featuring folded aluminium panels, for strength and

lightness , provides our customers with the best possible legal payload,

ensuring ease of use, optimum loading angles and maximum durability.

Not only that, its bolt on construction allows quick and easy repair in the

event of accident damage and makes it extremely adaptable for fitment

to a wide range of different chassis cabs.

Every conversion is Type Approved irrespective of the bespoke nature of the client specification.

Key Features

· Ultra light all aluminium construction.
· Available as Superlight version with truncated bed and without centre
walkway for maximum payload.
· Less than 100kgs weight gain on O.E. chassis cab when combined with
removal of passenger seats, spare wheel & carrier and tools.
· Class leading payload without tachograph utilising OEM axle, brakes and vehicle electrics and lights.
· Bolted, not welded for durability and ease of repair.
· 2.1m (6' 11") wide,
· 4.8m (15' 10") long.
· 2.3m (7' 6") ramps for low loading angle.
· Optional 2.7m (8' 10") for ultra low loading angle
· Ramps fitted with castors to prevent the need to ever lift them.
· Anti lift mechanism to prevent ramps lifting during loading.

A unique ‘slide and slide’ ramp system ensures no lifting is required by the vehicle operator, thereby avoiding any potential issues.

A wireless remote can , similarly, ensure the most safe , efficient vehicle operation whilst recovering vehicles.

Extra long ramps are available to clients who require extremely low loading angles.

We can convert virtually any chassis cab utilising the modular construction,

which allows us to provide maximum payload whilst ensuring engineering integrity at every stage of manufacture.

Citroen Relay , Toyota Dyna, Ford Transit, Vauxhall Movano,

Peugeot Boxer, Fiat Ducato and Renault Master are all converted regularly

for our clients.

We specialise in manufacturing each and every Car Transporter individually to our clients specification. 4250kg to 7200kg Car Transporters can be supplied for those clients requiring increased capacity.
Our Superlight conversion can be tailored to add as little as 99kg to the OEM Chassis Cab Kerbweight.
